Hi All.

I'm looking for a cheek pad like that pictured on the black M1A below (I hope you don't mind I use your pic, HKFAN33...it's the only example I can find...oh and I dig your rifle!) I've searched all over the web and found two close matches, an original Springfield Armory (but it's in brown and I need it in black) and one from Blackhawk (but the quality doesn't look too great). I've actually felt cheek pad on similar to the one found on HKFAN33's M1A and really liked the feel. Does anyone know where I could find one? Who is it made by? How much does it cost? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Eagle (http://triadtactical.com/tab1/store/category/a34f/Weapon_Accessories.html) makes a stock pack. I'm not sure if it will give you the same feel or height but it's a very good cheek pad.

Hi Bud.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm looking for that riser pictured on the cheek pads. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I have the same Blackhawk pad on my M1A that is in the bottom jpeg. It's kind of a pain to put on but that is my only complaint with it. Blackhawk makes another pad that looks like it might be the one you are looking for.

I know it's just a cheek pad, but how's the feel? Is it solid?...because I noticed all those laces that might be a potential cause for looseness.

Could you PLEASE post a pic with it on your M1A? That's exactly what I was going to do, put it on my M1A. A pic would be great. Thanks!

I have the Springfield one in brown. It is OK. I don't actually use it right now. It's kind of squishy.

Have you looked at the Smith enterprise? I haven't seen it in person, but it might be good.

My favorite solution is a "Scope Eze" under an Eagle pack.

That's what I have on my Remy LTR.

Yes. I've seen the one on the picture. That's almost what I'm looking for but it's just missing that brick-looking cheek riser. I do like that one that you use with your Remy. Can you show a picture of it installed? Thanks for your help!

With a little camo tape and some closed cell foan you can make your own for a lot less $$, and tailor it to you.

I have four - the Springfield armory brown with different sized risers, the eagle arms pack, the M1 US GI leather lace up, and the Blackhawk down lace up. None of them are perfect in my opinion.

The pack is the most useful and most comfortable - but lacks enough height by itself for the M1A scoped rifle. The Blackhawk down and Springfield armory have enough height - but aren't very comfortable. The US GI has the cheek weld in the wrong place - too far to the left. All of the nylon or cloth ones move around to some degree.

I think your best bet is customizing one of the off the shelf risers or making one yourself that is the right height and has the features you want.

I have the SA black model it feels comfortable. I only wish they made a left hand version. I am sure someone does but I have not done a search. I will save the righty for my son. The riser you are looking for looks useful for smaller faces as well.

Don't usually check this site but I'm glad I did.

It's a http://www.fulton-armory.com cheek pad that comes with 3 adjustable inserts.

Sent ya a PM as well.
