That must have been fake, automated, or a really really really slow projectile.

Not fake. The military has access to top of the line film equipment for regression testing. That is one HIGH speed camera with movement tracking. That projectile was actually traveling VERY fast.

Yeah, but if you think about it, to move THAT fast you would think that the sudden snap as it stopped would cause damaged to the equipment. It reminds me of that shotgun video.

If it's fake, someone went to a lot of work.. I'm not sure how they did it but its looks clean to me..

swap out the vulcan on the Phalanx w/ a ultra high speed digicam and that should do it. Looks like they're proofing the barrel or testing a round for performance. the end of the video looks like the camera reached the farthest it could pan and bounced back.
