Wondering if any MSAR owners have a setup with the ratworx thread adapater that allows AR type threaded attachments, specifically fake cans. I ask because I have the 16" barrel and I'm looking for new and exciting ways to keep my rifle over 30 inches. :)

Anyone use one?

I have a 20" but I hear those adapters are perfect for the application you want.

It works pretty well. I tried it with my friend's fake can and it worked, but he's not in the area at the moment so I cannot get a picture to show you

I just received my adaptor from ratworkx today (damn they ship fast!). As soon as I can find a blow torch to remove my current flash hider I'll measure total length of rifle with just the adaptor on. Then we should be able to find out which fake cans make the 30" cut.

I have a Raddlock version that does the same thing. PM if you are interested in buying it. I no longer have an MSAR. The Raddlock has similar contours to the MSAR barrel profile.

Cost me $89. Will sell for $50 delivered

Alright dudes... Here's what I did. I got my flash suppressor off with a butane torch lighter (like one of those $20 soldering iron ones), and a wrench, it was actually pretty easy. Slipped on Ratworx thread adapter and I've got a total length of 26.5". So looks like we will need a fake can of at least 3.5" to hit the promised land of 30".

Oh also the melted and gummy Loctite easily removes with bore cleaner.

Now back on with the raddlock barrel lengthener to make my rifle nice and legal.
