Well after 3 months of backorders I finally finished my first "assembly". Pics not availible at this time, and the breakdown of parts isn't filled with a bunch of high end names. I figured that I'd list it anyway because I see A LOT of people asking how to make a budget AR and I feel fairly confident that this one will be the plinker that I want it to be. I'll get back with a range report after this weekend.

Parts list:

DTI 16" 1x7 Mid-Length Chrome Lined Heavy Barrel
Mid-Length Handguard with Heat Shields
Standard Bolt & Carrier
M4 Buttstock
Phantom Aggressive End Comp/Brake
F-Marked Front Sight Base
Standard Lower Parts
Standard Charging Handle
Flat Top Upper with M4 Feed Ramps
Spikes Zombie Lower 109.00
Rifle Gear Bullet Button

Complete Rifle Kit minus lower 526.00 Delivered
Stripped Lower 109.00
Bullet Button 20.00
DROS 60.00

Total 715.00

Curious to see how that Yankee Hill brake looks on your AR. Is that the one that the end looks like a mid evil torture device?

Yes it does. Not as cool as the Chaos PorkyPine, but still pretty aggresive.

Photobucket.com will host your pictures for free. If your cell phone does not have a built in camera you can get a cheap digital camera at Walmart for around $10.

You will enjoy forums like this one much more if you learn how to take, upload and share images.

I appreciate everyone’s concern, and I promise to rectify my issue post haste upon completing work and returning home.

Some of us need pretty pictures to help us comprehend what we're redaing. All I see is letters, letters, numbers, blah, blah, numbers...

I started on an AK. Now the plan is to get someone interested in the upper so I can upgrade.
