I was at the range and this guy had his are with a foregrip and a little bipod at the bottom. I couldn't tell if it pops off or is fixed. Has anyone seen this?

Those things suck IMO. Zero adjustment for height or uneven ground. IMO if you want a bipod for real shooting get a real bipod otherwise anything including a vertical grip will work to lean your rifle on. I'll get off my soap box now and give you a link:

It is called a grip-pod: http://www.grippod.com/

I have one for sale in the parts forum if you want it. Shoot me a PM. I like it just fine on mine, works fine on uneven ground. Takes just as much effort to adjust a regular bipod to uneven heights to compensate as it does to dig the grip pod in a little.

It almost googles itself!

Seriously, OP, check the parts for sale forum. They used to be there, they are passable, not as stable as a true bipod, of course.

Thanks diesel power, yeah when I searched "foregrip mini bipod" nothing like the "grip pod" popped up. I literally got mini bipods, but sounds like Josh doesn't like them. It worked great at the range on a table, but I can imagine not being adjustable can have a problem. I would only want it for shooting at the range anyways.

It's really not a problem...I used one for 2 tours in Iraq for 28 months total time. Didn't have any issues. Maybe shooting a few degrees canted off perfectly verticle isn't ideal, but if you're not trying to shoot past 500 yards for a precision match it gets the job done just fine, is easy and quick to deploy, and more than stable enough for accurate center mass shots.

edit - see the first link in my sig and scroll down for the one I have for sale. Also, here's a pic of another one on my M4 right now:

Yeah I know it well. I had a deli for a lil bit at 1234 S. El Camino Real. Called "Nicks", maybe you've been there. I was the bald guy, hehe. I was there beginning 2008 to end of 2009. I missing the sandwiches.

I was in Texas for most of 08 and Iraq for all of 09 and the rest of 08...so probably don't know you heh. If you're still within a reasonable distance though I'd be happy to work something out with the grip pod I have for sale, I need an excuse to put some more miles on my bike now that school's winding down. Same goes for anyone reading this...and I'll edit my post in the for sale section, but I'll deliver anywhere within a reasonable distance. IE I'm not going to drive down to LA to drop off a $15 part, but the more expensive the part the further I'm willing to go.

Yeah I'm way to far. I'm in Pasadena now=/. But thanks NorCalAthlete for the offer to dive, also for putting your life on the line for all of us and coming back. I do appreciate that.

Not sure what you consider "real shooting". My "real shooting" had people shooting at me, yet my weapon was nice and stable sitting on its Grip Pod. Didn't have to work at getting it deployed either, nor fiddle with any leg adjusting. I just hit the button, and shot bad guys.

Wouldn't trade it for anything else.
