Does anyone have any experience with the new Midwest Industries Gen 2 handguards? I'm searching all around but there aren't that many reviews for this version. I like the continuous rail and the front QD socket. And the price doesn't seem that bad.

I would love to get a Daniel Defense Omega but I'm not sure if I want to drop $200+ on hand guard since I only hit the range.

My AR currently has magpul MOE HG but they then to wiggle. I know with the DD, they come with screws that you can lock down. Not sure about the MIs.

Thank you in advance for your input.

If it's a carbine length hg you're looking for, try Botac.com; they have a CAA two piece drop in hg with locking screws. They're trying to blow them out for $59.00. It's a great deal.

It's best to call them to make sure they have them in stock, because botac has a pretty bad rep on not shipping out of stock items. But if they do have them in stock, it'll be shipped right away.

I'm interested as well. If some people can vouch for the quality of these than they seem like an extremely good value. I'm building a midlength and there isn't any pictures of these installed on one that I've seen. The DD Omega rail is the way to go as far as rails but I'm right there with you and my pocket book can't handle shelling out 200+.

I saw the reviews on BCM but some of them are from 2008-2009. These HG were release recently, no? Maybe the reviews for the first gen?
