So I got bored with my AK and went to Lowe's to buy some dye's for the wood furniture and I came across these textured paint and I saw this Sand color one and I think it came out kind of cool I like it definitely something different.

How's it sticking? I've used paint like that in the past and it wanted to chip and peel.

Nice... Great choice.. Heck if ya scratch it will give it character.... and you can also repaint when you get bored again..

Don't knock it until you try it bud. I sprayed that stuff on a bunch of my AK mags, it helps kill the noise.

HAHAH~! looks like some nicely shaped rocks. I think its cool when people use different finishes. Some will scratch off easily and others are a little more durable but finding out what works is half the fun.

that looks amazing!

I've been wanting to build an AR for a long time, but I'm REALLY considering building an AK setup like this. Can you tell me what parts you have put together? I won't copy it TOO closely ;)

lol Good job ...

After reading the subject I to was concerned he might be in trouble... :-)

But turned out good!

can't wait to hear how it holds up. I think it will probably do good.

I've thought of using their flat black engine enamel before... Hi-temp and oil resistant....

:D;):iagree:

Your ak inspired me to use the same type of paint on the pistol grip and foregrip on a camo job I did for a friend. I then continued the camo, yet the texture is still there, so no slippery handling.

Thanks for doing the post...

Very nice. Like the contrast of it.
Would make good distracting/shape camo from a distance.
