Say the weapon is separated into 2 halfs.

the bolt carrier group taken apart as well. the cam, pin, bolt etc.

Think u can do it blindfolded under one minute?

so just reassemble a field stripped AR15 patterned rifle? i'm pretty sure i could... done it countless times with my eyes open, but never with my eyes closed (hence the "pretty sure").

oh, and if the BCG isn't taken apart it would literally be sub 10 seconds seeing as all there would be is the BCG, Charging handle, Buffer, buffer spring...

Yes, I've done it. 23 seconds was my fastest (not including handguards).

44 seconds.

Boot Camp (MCRD) 1989.

Reassembly from complete field strip (including hand guards).

With a function check.

under 60 seconds, no. with practice, and if things are laid out properly, under 3 minutes, Yes.

AK47, SKS, M16A2, M4A1 all disassembled and parts mixed up in one crate..with extra parts. How fast could you assemble all 4?

That's easy. You should be able to take it apart, put it together, and do function check in under a minute if you have ever been through boot camp

Only a video will convince me youve done it!

without SEEING the parts, its very hard to do. Not saying it can't be done, just saying under 60 seconds is very hard.

I use to be able do it with the rifle fully assembled. break it down field strip then re-assemble and function test blind folded. I use to get bored when my daughter was a newborn and I stayed home to watch her. I would do it almost every night for a good 3-4 months. It has been a while since I did it but I sure I can do it no problem. I would keep a bullet and a flat blade screwdriver under my right knee.I would use the handle on the screwdriver to tap the takedown pins first and the bullet was for pushing the firing pin retaining clip out enough to remove it. My trick is that I would set every thing down from left to right as I disassembled it and then move from right to left to re-assemble.

I know I was a really bored individual. Now my daughter is 3 and I dont have time to even shoot after work.

I dream of my daughter being this awsome. I'm going to start making one like her as soon as my wife gets home! LOL!:D

60 secs blindfolded seem kinda tuff. Maybe 2 mins if parts are places right.

Depends on when you went through boot camp, did not have M16's in boot when I was in.. :wheelchair:

Why? Can you? Some one bet you or something? or did it just pop in your head? Just curious at why you have this question.

If the stars aligned I still couldn't do it, but then again I have never tried. Eyes open, no problem. I'll give it a try the next time I go shooting but I'm doubtful I could do it that fast while blindfolded.

Wait... only reassemble? Can you lay out the parts as you like? or does someone else strip it then you walk in blindfolded and go at it? If you get to lay everything out before hand it should be doable with enough practice, but if everything is tossed on a pile that could be tricky. I originally though you meant completely strip the rifle then reassemble in 1 minute... Thats hardcore blindfolded

I could and did reassemble a M16A2 in less than half a minute in the Corps (blindfolded). We praticed for inter-unit competitions a lot while over in Okinawa. :D

If the BCG wasn't taken apart... times were significantly faster.

If I field strip it, ez.

Yes. We had competitions for it in basic. Now try this clear, disassemble, reassemble, functions check, load, unload, cold gun and hot gun a m240b in less then 1 min 17 seconds. A sgt did it here in our co. I got 1 min 33 seconds

And for the hot gun you obviously don't wait the 15 min lol
