So I was looking through the safe the other day and found at the way back my ruger 10/22. Havent taken that thing out in ages! So I was wondering maybe if I upgraded it a bit more then it would be more interesting and get more range time.

I was thinking a green mountain barrel 16" fluted(found one for 109 shipped good price?) and a hogue stock(anybody got a good deal on one of these?). I already have the competition hammer, an upgraded mag release, auto bolt release, and a few other things I cant even remember....

go for it, the 10/22 was my gateway drug to my current rimfire addiction :)

Also though I was looking at those CZ 452s and wondering if I should sell my 10/22 and get one of those instead? Seems like they are similar amounts of investment though do correct me if I'm wrong.

Get it ready and use your 10/22 for an Appleseed shoot.

My new home of NC has one coming up in late June and I plan to be out there sweating like a pig and (hopefully) earning my rifleman's patch.

You're headed down a slippery slope. It always starts out innocently enough....

The CZs are very much worth it. Good workmanship, sleek and elegant lines...accuracy.

What's not to like?

A gentleman by the handle "Izzy43" on this board is an accomplished shooter and good with CZs, I am sure he knows more than me about CZs as I haven't had mine for that long. I am very pleased with mine and would buy another one without a doubt. I <3 my CZ 452-2E ZKM (military trainer).

Also what's the difference between the OD stock and the ghillie green? It's hard to tell from pictures online.

where'd you get that deal for the barrel (green mountain barrel 16" fluted $109 free shipping) please ?

I have held & shot 3 different CZ's and they each where very NICE - very accurate, decent weight and as others stated clean & sexy lines on them

A CZ in .22lr has joined my wish list. I still want to learn about the select fire RAZOR receivers. Build up your own 10/22 from scratch anyone?? I just wish I had a lathe & mill etc.

I might be wrong, but I think the difference between OD Green and Ghille Green on the Houge stocks is OD Green is just that, while Ghille Green is primarily OD is color with lighter flakes of color in it.

That is exactly what my son and I are doing, using 2 10/22's for the June 11th Appleseed shoot.

belive it or not - Overstock.com has some good deals on stocks as well as other gun stuff. BUT do your research, they do mark things up on their own. I found a Fenix TK10 on their super deal (cheapest l found $50 @ the time) but the 10/22 magazines on overstock are more expensive. might be worth a look. thanks for the gunkings link, im looking for a threaded version. it was sold out on gunkings

Markus

Didnt realize they had a threaded version shows what I know. I received the barrel in the mail yesterday and it looks great! Unfortunately my stock from opticsplanet.com is not going to be here until tuesday.... I guess thats what I get for choosing free shipping or maybe it has to do with gunkings being in tx and opticsplanet in IL? Could be...
