So I got my OBR earlier in the month but didn't really have a chance to break it in. Until today! Went to Burro Canyon and the Weather was about 75 degrees and I was shooting Winchester Q3131 55grain FMJ.

The gun shot the first 10 perfectly but after that it became a nightmare. I had 5 Double feeds in a row and a bunch of Failure to Extracts before after and inbetweeen. I was extremely demoralized until the range master came over and told me it was probably dry and to lube at these certain points. After lubing it up it ran like a beast. Summary: Keep her wet

Due to the nature of burro mixed with my impatience, I couldnt really do precise zeroing because I didnt want to wait and just wanted to shoot, I was shooting very nice groupings at 100 yards but I did not have a rest or bipod so the groupings were not representative of what the rifle could do. During all this I took some really neat pictures since I know pictures run this thread.

They seem like a great optic for the cash

Canon Rebel T1I, its my buddies so I don't know what settings he had.

I love the trijicon, Makes me feel look like everything is HD. The eye relief is ridiculous too.

thats why I asked. Im thinkin of glass for my SCAR 17, and would like to avoid scope eye, but I dont want to spend a small fortune either.

The TA21 is nice if you only want to shoot ~300 yards. Its not the most accurate (triangle is 4.3 Moa) but its really quick target acquisition while maintaining a nice grouping.

(Might be selling mine w/ mount if your interested)

You "couldnt" get a precise zero because of burro? It has nothing to with "the nature of burro", it's simply your impatience and your unwillingness to take the time to set up your weapon.

Why else would you spend several thousand dollars on a precision rifle/optics just to shoot sh!!!ty ammo and not bother doing a proper zero? Oh wait, because it's the range's fault.

Nice gun.

This is very true and how the statement was intended(was hoping someone would respond in a more comedic fashion). Considering It was the first time shooting it all I wanted to do was shoot and shoot. Not wanting to wait 30 min to check 3-5 shots was the cause and not the range.

Cool pics. LaRue has great stuff, although I find their rifles a bit on the too heavy side.

It did come in heavier then I expected but there are pros and cons to everything. I know they shed almost 2 pounds off of the predatAR so if your looking for more of a "combat" or every day gun, that would be a good avenue.
