Anybody removed the gas tube and blocked off the access hole and turned their AR into a single shot with all the evil parts installed?

Why would I do that when I can lock the mag in place and have every evil feature I want?

Because it would allow you to have all the evil features and a detachable magazine.

when ur shooting Berger VDL's or 6mmBR AR:D

long range/target/silhouette guys usually use a single shot mag block for loading 1@time. Some use JP adj gas blocks to seal off gas. Or just shoot it without the gas block:) Google for the silh AR sloted uppers- poor man's Tubb fast action rifle.

Spelling? No luck by searching "silh AR sloted uppers".

By the way, check this out [HERE (http://www.medeshafirearms.com/Rifle%20Barrel%20Work.0.html)]. The modification costs $85.

Tubb-2000 is an expensive toy. It's around $2.5K.

you might as well eliminate the magazine all together if you're worried about legality...
