I did a search and couldn't find anything so I'll ask here; what are you guys doing to remove the bayonet lug from your CA legal rifles? I know I have to remove it some how, but I don't want to booger up the rifle. Any ideas on how to do this cleanly?

actually, you dont have to remove the bayonet lug. That was a part of the no longer in affect federal AWB.

The bayonet lug is not an evil feature. We do not remove it.

Yep. A bayo lug is not an "evil feature" in Cali.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you remove it if it's not necessary? And, how do you cover the bare ground metal that's left?

I use a Prince50 BayoNUT. A couple of turns with a tool and it is off or on, depending on my mood. :D

I prefer a file. A couple hours every night for about a week and your done. :D

If you still want to do it you can get gun bluing kits pretty cheap. I picked some of this up at walmart. Works pretty good. Matches up pretty good.

I waved mine in Rosie Odonnell's face & she bit it off. Good thing is was only a bayonet lug.

I have only seen flash suppressors with a bayo lug. Now the question is do they make muzzle breaks with a bayonet lug?
