View Full Version : Shopping around for a lefty .30-06

I'm hoping to have some extra money soon, and I've narrowed my search to focus on the Remington 700 SPS and the Savage 111. What have your experiences been with Remingtons and Savages in.30-06 and similar size calibers? How do they compare in:

Ability to take hot ammo
Ease of stripping and cleaning
Any quirks they are prone to
Any other noteworthy traits

My other option is buying more mosins.:drool5:

What do you guys think?

I traded a lefty 700 30-06 to a co-worker about a year ago. It was a good rifle but the 700's have extractor issues that are common to the model; do a google search. I forget what brand I replaced it with but there are kits that you can buy to fix the issue.

I have a lefty Tikka T3 Lite in .30-06.

Wouldnt trade it for any other similar rifle type. Not even close!
