I don't really want one but I lowballed him so hard and I think he might go for it. Truthfully I will probably resell it because I don't intend to shoot it at all. What do you guys think of me buying it for $250+DROS?

I feel bad but he says he is going to turn it into the sheriff's office if he doesn't find a buyer. He has some irrational fear that if he sells it to a random person, they will commit a crime and he will be charged. I explained to him 30 times that this is not how things work and he wont budge.

I know new they're like $450??

how much can I expect to sell it for? It has maximum 100 rounds through it...

Assuming DROS is $35 I'm looking at a total price of $285. If all I'm going to make on it is $30 I'll just let him turn it into the sheriffs...saves me alot of the hassle.

I really have no interest in shooting it or keeping it for SD

no issues that I know of except that the mag hole was expanded a little with a dremmel because it wasn't wide enough. I'll try to get some pics and see what you guys think.

cool that seems worthwhile. Thanks.

I really feel bad because hes a good friend but I kept telling him over and over that I have no interest in holding on it for any reason. Feels like I'm making money off him but probably better that a gun owner gets it than the sheriff.

If nothing else you should buy it just to keep it from being destroyed by the PD. Hell...shoot it a couple times, you might even find you like it.

The only FAIL I see is letting the Sheriff destroy a leagal and functioning fire arm........this crap makes my blood boil!

If the owner is so damn paranoid, why the hell does he/she even own a firearm? That part amazes me!

****, if he'll sell it for $250 I know someone who will buy it TOMORROW. I'LL buy it tomorrow. Now where the hell is RF? I'm in San Mateo, just south of San Francisco...as far as trustworthiness, believe me I have a hell of a lot more on the line than he does. I'm squeaky clean.

This^^^

I used to love my ARs, and old (U.S.) military rifles.
Now a firm believer in the AK platform.
I still own my 'other than AK' rifles, and believe in their strengths but when I go to the range it seems the choice is an AK variant.
I simply have more fun with them.

Honestly, do anything with it but turn it in to the sheriff. That would just be a waste. Someone will give it a good home :)

Why is he going to turn his AK into the Sheriff's office? That just doesn't seem right to have to turn in a perfectly good AK, when I could be shooting it. :D

whats the point of this thread? i dont understand? is he complaining about gettin this gun for 250? .there are numerous people even on here that would gladly take it off your hands for 350-400 even after you bought it from your friend. is he an anti?

If he's your friend, why not help him sell it so he can get the appropriate amount for it? I could never jip a friend...At my age it is all about integrity and looking yourself in the mirror.
