View Full Version : 10/22 sight upgrade

So, I have kept my 10/22 sights stock for about 1200 rounds now and I would like to do a little upgrade...nothing too fancy.
I was thinking about front & rear fiber optic sights or a rear peephole (not sure about the real name) sight. Would it be a positive thing to use a rear peep & front fiberoptic or is this a "one or the other" decision?
Thanks for the help

Shot Ruger rimfire challenge a few weeks ago. the techsights are "NOT" an advantage in this type of shoot. I ended up just installing truglo sights. They worked very well and they give you very fast sight aquisition. The techsights tend to block the target in transitions.

The techsights tend to block the target in transitions.
Can you expound on this? Are you saying the wings, or post hinder visibility while moving to new targets? Is this first hand experience, or comments from others?

Front fiberoptic tend to be quite wide, not suitable for accuracy but ok for plinking.
I like the Techsights on the Ruger 10/22.
I'm pretty fond of the TechSights.

I would like to find some leagues or competitions around the Sacramento area. Plain 'ol rim fire fun that doesn't hurt the pocketbook. Speed, accuracy...whatever, I just need to find some type of competition. I guess that will determine the best sights to put on my little buddy.
I think the Lincoln Rifle Club has something like this, not sure where else to go...
