I'm looking for someone in the sf bay area who can convert my saiga for me. Naturally id supply the parts. Gun shop or calguns member, I don't care.:)

Any recommendations?

Im aware the conversion is easy, but an old scaphoid fracture (though healed, my hand is stiffer) makes it a risky endeavor for me. It's been iffy lately and shooting has become dependant on how my hand feels. I've developed a little non degenerative arthritis at the ripe age of 33. Pistol grip is far more tolerable for the pain.

Yeah man this is a good DIY project. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube. This is a good way to learn your weapon.

If you want top notch work, take a trip out to Las Vegas and have Jim Fuller/Rifle Dynamics (http://www.rifledynamics.com/services/saiga.php) do the work for you.

I had a couple of Jim's Saiga Conversions in my classes and they are flawless. He's is one of the best Gunsmiths for the AK, if not THE best.
