View Full Version : Bushy Nat'l Match 20", DPMS 20" A2 or ???

For my next build, I'm wanting to build something with a 20" barrel and A2 Upper. A quick Google search yielded a Bushmaster for about $600 and a DPMS for about $500. It would be great if I could do the whole build for under $1k, so I'm wondering if there are any other uppers out there worth looking at? Could I build the upper out myself for less $$$/more quality? Should I be looking for comleted rifles?
Yeah, bored at work today...

The Standard ArmaLite Rifle M15 is an AW, they are also $1,000+
The uppers are $525 (outof stock) and $780 for a National Match A2.
the ArmaLite NMA2 comes with a free floated, triple lapped SS A2 barrel, BCG/ CH. .223 Wylde Chamber with a 1:8 twist... common term..."tack-driver"

RRA National Match is $765. I'm not sure how the barrels compare, but you do get a chrome RRA BCG. Both have the free float handguard.

Cool. Some good stuff. I've discovered that even with a "tack-driver" in my hands, the tacks are usually pretty safe :0

Thinking of adding it to my long list.

Can't do better than White Oak Armament.
$695 for an A2 Service Rifle Upper that's match-ready
$672 for a Match Rifle Upper
