Good morning folks. I just started my 10 day jail on a new gsg 5 pistol. Like most people do during the 10 day wait, I'm shopping around for accessories. Not much I can purchase besides extra mags, ammo, etc., I am now looking for a fairly decent red dot optic.

I'm looking for a reflex type optic or any other that's not too bulky like an eotech and as low profile as i can get (ive seen some reflex type optics that sit on top of another adapter and its just sits way too tall for my taste. Also not anything that cost more than the gun. Lol. Especially for the low recoil of a .22lr. Any suggestions on an optic or websites I can look at? I've looked at rrages.com and they have a big selection with pretty decent prices. I just wanna see what else is out there.

Thanks. Any info is appreciated! Have a good Monday calgunners!

type in red dot sight on ebay. they used to have one for the gsg. it was a claw type mount that fit directly. Also, the center of the red dot was the same elevation as the fron t sight post (pretty cool, I thought). Around 40bucks. happy hunting , JIM

in my opinion, the best deal on a quality red dot is the Burris Fastfire. The regular model has interchangable mount to allow use on a variety of firearms. The also have a model with an integral Weaver/Picatinny mount that is very reasonably priced.

I know that Leapers/UTG offer mount for your gun so you can create kind of a nice set-up.
