What KIND of .22?

And have you checked out

www.rimfirecentral.com

?

Cleaning the barrel of a .22 rifle can do more harm than good if you're not careful. On the other hand, you have to clean parts of a .22 semiauto to keep it running.

I like the all metal M16 cleaning rod kit. Works great for rifles and hand guns.

My favorites are made from Weed Whacker string. cheap, strong, and easily made from stuff I already have.the jag at the end is a piece of fuel hose. I burn the end to make a bead, and while its hot I slide the jag into the melted plastic. the other end I sharpen to stick through the patches. a friend also makes his but he makes a larger bead out of the melted string. he melts the string and presses it into a spent case. after it cools its a little large for the patch so he grinds it to a custom size for his patches. I have a bore snake for every caliber I shoot. I think they're the best. I also use the Patch Worm from 20/20 concepts. 1 kit covers every gun I own. All 19 of them.

I have a boresnake and a patchworm also, both quick and ez. The patchworm works good on my 17 hmr because the bore is so small. I've just about stopped using my rods.
