I'm looking to pimp out Ruskie style a Romy AK build and am trying to decide what kind of side mount sighting system to use. Does anyone have any experience using a Kobra, PK-23-01, or PK-AS?

Yup, Kobra wouldn't hold zero after several hundred rounds of 5.56..

I have the weaver/picatinny version of the Kobra. It moves around among a few fal's, a couple of ar's, and a camp 9 and camp 45. No mechanical issues in maybe 2500 combined rounds, mostly .308.

It's fine for what it does and the price is acceptable. Having played with an eotech, it seems to be a lot nicer just considering the weight savings.:D I do realize the price factor is about 2 to 1.

Got PK-AS on my AW AK-47. Took some time and amo to sight it (about 30-40 rounds), but after I was done it still holds "0" after 3k rounds. I don't know if it it comes in Red Dot only, Mine has Red Dot/Black Dot feature. The dot is kinda large, I would say 2 MOA at 100 yards but it does the job it was desighned to do.
