I have a Spring 2005 flyer from J&G. Here are the changes in less than 2 years for 1,000 rounds of commercial ammo from the same retailer.
7.62x39 Silver Bear from $90 to 160
.223 Wolf from $115 to 160
7.62x54R Brown Bear from $229 to 300
I heard more price increases are on the way. Should we stock more now?

no you will only send the price higher if we all bulk buy now. the war has a lot to do with the price of ammo.
I'd predict without the war, these prices would be more like 125 , 130, 260 i instead of the new prices. fuel , and metals have gone up but not that much.

Bush said yesterday: ” I'm not going to pull our troops off … We can accept nothing less than victory”. He has 2 more years but I do not have enough 7.62x39 for 2 years.

Aren't all those imported?
Considering the overall state of the US economy, leading to a steady decrease of the value of the US dollar, I'd guess for even higher prices on most imported stuff in the future.

If you can afford it get what you can now..Regarding 7.62x39 it will stay high and even climb as long as the war goes on. It will really jump if the mid-East explodes..Lebanon, Palistine-Israel, Iran as well as Iraq..I think we will be in Iraq for at least another 5 years..I pray I am wrong..

I wish had got more of the Chicom, Yugo and East German 7.62x39 when it was cheap and plentiful..Sadly its all gone...

Golden Tiger is great ammo and instock at AIM. $149.95 per 1000.

Domestic ammos are even more expensive. I am on a tight budget but still want non-corrosive ammo.
We should ask Bush to lift the import ban on Chinese ammo. We need their cheap stuff. Bush creates the shortage and should fix it.
How about Wolf Military Classic HP & FMJ? Several places are selling at $144/1,000 + freight.

With my MidwayUSA dealer discount (C&R) I just got a box (1000) of Wolf 7.62x39 for $161 shipped.

Not too bad.
