View Full Version : Gunsmith Specializing in Rifles Needed - Los Angeles

I have searched past threads on gunsmiths in the LA area, but they all seem to specialize in handguns or shotguns.

I have a Remington 700, and need a few things done to her. Based on your personal experience, where might I take my rifle to have some relatively basic gunsmith services provided?

Thanks so much.

Randy Cain is your man, he's been building and customizing Rem 700s for almost 2 decades. His website states that he is not taking on work, but give him a call and he will help you out.

+1 on Randy, aka HateCA, hes a great guy, pretty fast turn around and his work is flawless, I've had the chance to check out his shop/ garage when picking up and dropping off work and look at some of his other projects in various stages, his attention to detail is suburb.

Both of my customs were done by R&D, expect rediciuosly no nonsense accuracy.. tell him your needs and he will suggest the mods for your type of shooting.. he won't try to sell you anything, in fact he'll say, whay do you want that for? Since you already have a Rem 700, look at the Maverick package... got mine down to sub MOA (I didn't say half as I'm not a half MOA shooter.. rifle is probably capable though.
