Hey, I called a few gun shops in my area, and one up north from me...

This info is just an FYI, how you work this is up to you...I'm more then willing to work with you on what ever it takes to do the deal...I want to do all this in a legal way too.

OK, first I called Castro Valley Gun Shop And JR Gun Shop here, where I live.

I also called River City Guns Exchange up in Sacramento.

Everyone said the same thing, you DON'T need to put them in your name.

Just your ID, the weapon and that's all you need.

Reason being that they where in your family, thus them passing on to you. So it's legal for you to sell 'em.

Castro Valley Gun Shop said you could put them in your name, but this would take sometime and would cost you some money to do so.

Please research this for your self and see what other gun shops tell you.

Best advice for you to follow is where ever you want to DROS these guns, call them and ask your questions and see what they say. Then you'll know how they want to do it, per the laws of this wonderful state we live in...

Also you dont need to do any paperwork except when you meet with the buyer to sell the guns, you dont even have to tell the transfer dealer where you got them. Just fill out the seller portion of the DROS like you own them and your selling them. Any of the long guns that were made before 1961 dont even have to be transfered, they are cash and carry.
