Here is my very 1st AR build. The upper and lower were all put together by me. I thought it would take about a year to build. I guess I got a little carried away and finished the rifle in about half the time. Can you blame me? I had a damn great time learning how to build and also teaching my friends on how to build their own. My goal was to build a lightweight tactical carbine. She weighs in at 7lbs 3oz. without optic. Im planning on picking up an Aimpoint PRO for the optic since it has good reliability and price. But for now, Im learning to be more proficient with the BUIS before I purchase an optic.

I know which costco Im going to when they attack.

I would prefer the Walmart. More ammo there and you won't need to show the Zombies your card to get in ;)

What range do you shoot at? My AR parts are all in now (except scope and mount, and I have no irons) so I'll be looking to hone my own zombie plinking skills.

for a 13.2" rail, these are lighter than a DD 12" Lite rail. Thats because of the titanium barrel nut. I tell you tho, the install on these are soooo damn easy. They have alignment tabs and no need to align holes when tightening down the barrel nut.

Way nicer than my 1st rifle. Great job. Can't go wrong with an Aimpoint ML2 with Larue QD mount

1 thing's been bothering me lately, why does everyone keep putting H buffers in middys, they're for carbines.....oh well

I honestly can't tell you how I came up with putting an H buffer on my rifle. For some reason I thought it would be better for recoil. I mean are there any adverse effects to doing this?

The Battle Comp provides a noticeable reduction muzzle rise, makes follow up shots far quicker especially magnified at longer ranges. Cant comment on flash as I don't shoot at night, blast seems to be equivalent. For the price it is a great muzzle comp, plus its classified as a brake so good to go for featureless builds.

OP : Sweet as weapon you got there.

Too bad you didn't hear, ARs are no good for SHTF anymore  need to trade it in for an AK so you can hit those 600yard targets more accurately...:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: LOL, I kid ya

Taking a photo of multiple felonies in your home are still felonies.

Rebuild kits are NOT for photo purposes, unless your purpose is to photo-document the admission of some felonies.
