how is this different than a PMAG? cheaper? lighter? more durable?

Well all the Thermolds I own are Preban , from the original company. Personally I prefer them over Pmags as they feel more rigid in their manufacture and have served me well over the years. I especially liked the ones they made for the HK91, more durable than the aluminum mags and lighter than the steel bodied mags.

I have a thermold 20 rounder and they do feel pretty cheaply made, however it has been totally reliable for years so I say :thumbsup:

My thermolds are preban also, I haven't seen or heard from that company in awhile.

I just ordered some ten rounders from buds. I'll see how they work.

Folks, 28 rounds proves everything! A huge scientific test to say the least! In other news, thermolds continue to give Americans a reason to buy GI mags...

10 Rounders from Bud's came in today. They don't seat in either of my Aero lowers. Test is over I guess.
