I'm picking up a Leupold Mk4 10x40 LR/T scope next week. Problem is mounts. I have a socomII and would like a 30mm cantilever mount to use on the existing rail system so i don't need to purchase another rail mount. What are my options?

+1 on the ADM Recon mounts - very sturdy and return to zero nicely. Can't say anything bad about LaRue either though...

I would be flipping the mount the opposite direction... would it still be just as sturdy?

oh yeah, it would work turned either way - their QD mounting mechanism is REALLY nice and solid.

Thanks for the input. Your attached photo sold me on them. Now to try and find a distributor who offers a .mil discount.

Had good experiences with the Burris AR-PEPR mount. Just ordered another.

I am still trying to decide but it will be either a LaRue Tactical or Bobro Engineering. I like the Bobro since the scope drops in from the top and will probably go with Bobro. Bravo Co. and Rainier both carry them.
