Nice choice. I shoot a GM II myself... is this your first 1911? If so, be aware of the 'idiot mark' and keep that piece looking good. ;)

I'm really torn between grabbing one a Raptor or a Warrior. I can't get enough 1911s. :D

Oh no! Now your in trouble. It all starts with a Kimber Raptor, then a Springfield, then a Les Bear and so on. Welcome to the club, and great choice my man.

I love my Kimber Raptor II. We have the same gun. You will highly enjoy it. It is a very grip intense handle. The scale pattern on the front strap it crazy rough.

I totally know what you mean. If I didn't get the raptor it would have been the desert warrior. My gf, who I live with and split the bills with, was in love with the raptor so its a lot easier to justify spending that kinda bread when shes on the same page but to be honest if she didnt have any input I probly would have went with the warrior. But, if im not mistaken the desert warrior is not on the roster so then I have to deal with getting a local FFL to do a single-shot sled, etc. and thats a big pain.

Yeah my buddy has the blued version so i've put some rounds through it and the grip didn't bother me too much. Another friend of mine just picked up two matching .40 glocks with this super bumpy grip that is like a rough sandpaper and that bothers me a lot more than the raptor does. I guess I can't say for sure till I have a nice 200 round day with it but i'm expecting it to be managable for me.

Can't buy anything here

Don't forget the playing card with a slit in it under the slide stop...works great until you get the nack...:)
