Sooo. Are they? Thinking about one with a red dot on it. Are they fun? Any accuracy with no stock and short barrel? Just checking before I pull the trigger (ok, bad pun). Thanks!

ARs are ok, never shot the AR pistol but AK pistols are the sh*t.

Here is me shooting NicoRoshi's AK pistol

AR Pistols are plenty accurate, it is up to the shooter to get comfortable and hit the target. A EOTech or Aimpoint is plenty for a pistol, I have owned both a AR and AK Pistol and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that they are extremely fun to shoot and accurate. Now standing up and cheeking the buffer tube and really trying to hit targets can be done but it takes practice. I recommend you try the cheek welding method, it will give you the best of both worlds. It helps keep the pistol sturdy and gives you better eye relief for either a red dot or iron sites.

There is a local range that has a steel silhouette target at 100 yards and myself and others have been able to get 8/10 or better with mbus only. I have only used a EOTech for a hws red dot and I could usually hit the silhouette with 10/10 shots. My favorite part about them is usually the crowds that line up around you and ask about them. I like to let others try it out as well and love to see the :D from ear to ear after they try it out.

Hope this helps :)

yeah they are fun and accurate too. with iron sights you can hit a steel plate repeatedly at 100yds easily.

Very fun and surprisingly accurate. Since I use the GSE tube on mine, I can't really "cheek it," but I actually prefer using a Troy single-point sling and forward tension to steady my aim (same thing I use on my AK pistol.) YMMV! :D

Whatch out for that magpul AFG. That is considered a forend grip. Used to have one until I was sternly warned against it.

so that IS official. AFG is bad?

and comp (like BC) or flash hider (like flaming pig) is NO problem, right?
also, are these like rifles in AZ where you can run but bullet button and 30rnd mags out of state?

Thanks guys. GREAT looking pistols!

I thought the AFG is good to go for AR/AK pistols since it wasnt considered a VFG?

I have been told different by a few trustworthy ffls so I wouldn't risk it personally. Even if it became an issue and it was ok it would still turn into a legal battle potentially costing some major cash.

Do these have to be set up as one round capacity in CA?

I understand your concern but I'd rather get my info from calguns instead of FFL's. A friend of mine was told by an FFL I "thought" was trustworthy that Saiga's are banned:rolleyes:.

I love that google doc. it clears up the fud. it clearly says afg is ok. angled fore grip says it all. it clearly is not a vertical grip. even cali's assault weapon law states vertical or conspicious. can you imagine when the xo26 from franklin armory gets released! people are going to poop when they find out atf issued them an ok because thier pistol is over 26inches so it clearly falls under "other" status.

AR pistols are OK. I have a PWS Diablo myself and while it is fun to shoot, it is more of a conversation piece. You know what's even more fun? A full fledged SBR in the rest of free America.

How are you securing the cut down stock to the receiver extensions? Set screw? And then using the tape over the trimmed area?

NOT FUN!!!! TOP OF THE LINE LWRC with ACOG and Docter on the top....and 500.00 laser in the front.....
I mean it shoots great. But to say fun? Not really . I enjoy regular pistols and regular rifles a lot more.

PS. A lot of money went into this one :(

Guys, keep an eye for top of the line LWRC , it might be on the WTS section soon, that would be fun

No :). It wont be for sale..... I mean its a COOL toy with all the good stuff on it. But as far as anything else , its good for nothing. If it was a 9mm it would be a different story....
