Hey guys I'm looking for some advice. I am currently trying to decide on what kind of semi automatic rifle I should purchase. I already have a Ruger SR556 and an Arsenal SGL21. I am currently trying to decide between an SGL31 and an M4 style AR15. My budget is 1300 and below. Also, I would like to know which caliber you guys prefer in general: 5.56 NATO or 5.45 Soviet. Let me know what you think!

AK all the way!:D
But seriously...what are you looking to do with this rifle? If you're looking for max accuracy and lots of tacticool stuff to stick on it the AR might be the way to go. Although the tacticool sh** market for the AK is expanding daily.
If you want something that's gonna be reasonably accurate, run forever(wet/dry/clean/dirty/irradiatedand/farted on etc.), eat any random ammo you pick up off the street and stuff into the magazine. Then maybe the AK.
Also where do you shoot? Nearly all 5.45 ammo attracts a magnet, and many ranges will not allow it. Might be a deal breaker.

See if you can get some range time...that's how I made up my mind on the VZ58.

Well I already have a Remington 700 30-06. I just love semi-automatic rifles
