Kimber 1911 Torture Test

Did anyone see the Kimber torture test on Guns and Ammo TV yesterday? They dropped a brand new Kimber 1911 into a bucket of salt water for 3 days.

For those of us who did not watch what was the outcome?

It had a lot of salt damage as expected and on the first try the chamber would not load. They had to punch the barrel and then the gun shot fine. Just curious if anyone watched it. What was in the barrel? Salt?

It was probably just corroded.

if anyone else read the 2nd Sweeney's Book of 1911s, he put a Wilson and an Armscor through some pretty rough stuff and they came out fine.
