Went by CWS table at the Costa Mesa show...met the very pretty Michelle!

They had some awesome looking lowers on display..couldn't pick anymore up right now..too close to Christmas and I have to make sure that my kids get something other than a lump of coal.

But I did pick-up a YHM muzzle brake, and the U-15 stock...Christmas came early for Daddy this year.
Thanks CWS!:D

Any idea if you're going to be able to get the MagPul lowers when they are released?

I love having tons of disposable Phony green stuff.

PIRATE14 whos mag does this receiver use ?

As in is the mag their own design and mfg or where does the mag come from and is it compatible with other AR10 receiver mag wells ?

thanks

Says it in the AR15.com post . . . DPMS mags

So this only works with the POF upper? I want something I can put an Armalite on.

SO now the question is is the DMPS mag the same as the armalite mag ?

anyone ?

IIRC, DPMS uppers are compatible with armalite barrels but you have to use a DPMS barrel nut (different thread pitch). Daniel defense and JP both have free float handguards compatible with the DPMS .308 upper / barrel nut combo. I am also pretty sure that DPMS has 10 round magazines. The DPMS LR-308 is compatible with SR-25 mags, but it seems that the POF lower is not?

Basically, you could get this and use a DPMS upper and avoid the whole "DPMS Panther (all)" BS.

Remember that there are technically 2 AR10s.

The originals and then the current production guns.

The magazines for the originals, Knights SR25 mags, and DPMS mags are essentially all the same and will work in an original Armalite AR10, Knights SR25, or a DPMS 308.

Current production AR10s use a magazine based on modified M14 magazines, these will NOT work in that POF upper. M14 mags require a slight angle to them for the feed lips to be at the proper angle for chambering rounds, also the M14 mag is dimensionally different.

Very interesting. Thanks for the clarification. Its a shame that the AR10 can't be mil spec and all uniform like the AR15.

To be announced.

The current AR10 mags are different because Reed Knight bought all the surplus AR10 mags for .50 each years ago and then designed his SR-25 around the mag.

Pirate, is this the "suprise" you posted about for the AR10? Just curious. Thanks.

BTW on the website http://www.pof-usa.com/lower_receiver/lowerreceiver.htm

it states that the dealer price is 250.00 so what ever the FFL tags onto that.

SO PIRATE14 whats your markup ? that is if the pricing at the website is correct.
