I'm not really sure what ammunition this is. It was given to me a year or two ago and I really like it. It pretty much turns my .22's into Pellet guns. They are SUPER quiet and will zap small stuff like Rats, Squirrels, etc with a well placed shot but I have no idea what it is. Anyway here ya go thanks for your time.

PS it wont even kind of try to cycle the bolt on any of my Semi stuff so its 1 round at a time but its still REALLY fun.

Aguila "Super Calibre" or "Calibre". No real way to tell them apart once they are not in a box.

There is a difference. Neither is recommended for use in a long gun. But, they are super fun out of my Super 14 Contender barrel.

I've been shooting them out of my 16inch barreled 10/22 all morning. :D

Ahhh Supers are what I want I think. 500fps vs. 375fps

Yep, sooner or later you will get a squib. I've shot them out of several +24" guns but, I always keep a cleaning rod close by to remove any squibs.

My Winchester 190's are REALLY accurate with them, and they are 20inch I think. I haven't ever shot them from the one longer barrel then that I have.

I use the Colibris all of the time out of my Henry lever and Stevens Favorite, and even Single Six. They are great for rainy day indoor shooting (appropriate backstop of course). I also have an old pump .22 that's very accurate, but I have to be careful of squibs with that one. Next up I want to get a tube fed bolt .22 rifle to shoot these.

yeah I was using about a 2x2.5 piece of Hardy backer with a piece of 3/4 plywood behind it. They were blowing through the Hardy backer but only denting the the 3/4. I had one come back and hit my elbow but at 500fps its not exactly coming back fast. I didn't think there was a much chance of squibs because I hadn't ever seen one. But I was watching my rounds since I was trying to zero my scope so I can blast critters. :D I would hope I would notice one missing. :D:D

wow!! i never heard of these

if i were to shoot a pesky cat/dog/coon..

would it send a strong message without being lethal? or will it definitely penetrate?

Catch? Hardly.

Go shoot a phonebook with one first and take note of the page number the bullet stops ;-)

BTW, if you're caught shooting these in most cities, you will likely be charged with discharging a weapon w/in city limits (or the appropriate charge).

They sure are quiet, though!

It'll take out a cat, squirrel, bird. Thin skinned stuff. It'll break the skin for sure on a person. Though, 20gr at 500 or so FPS won't penetrate too far. Far enough it'll ruin your day for sure

So Cal here. Lots of people do it.

I never have...and my gun (singular) was lost in a boating accident earlier this year.

Funny that must be a big *** boat..... I lost all my guns on that thing too. I kept plugging the hole with money but it was no good.
