I just made a deposit on a layaway at Turners for a kimber eclipse custom II it was a impulse but but I loved the finish. Its NOT the 10mm version. but I paid 1200 for it. Does anyone have any experience with this 1911

I have a kimber eclipse.... Smooth trigger & super nice sights.... Worth every penny.... Also threw on carbon fiber grips from carbon creations... mines a 4 inch so if u let newbies shoot it and they limp wrist it won't get a full cycle and jam but for me it works great no problems.....soo soo accurate..... Enjoy

Not really an impulse buy if you put a deposit on a layaway!!!
Pay in full is an impulse buy!!!
I know what you mean though...you see a gun that makes you think...I gotta have that gun.

I too saw that gun at Turner's and was tempted, even though I was searching for the Kimber Stainless target II in 9mm. It is truly a beautiful gun.

It's like the Commercial says you can't just pop one!
I have found my self trading off everything else so I can fill my safe with 1911s its a sickness I tell you.:D

i have this problem also. no matter how many other firearms i tell myself to get, they always get replaced or put off to make room for a 1911.

It was not an impulse buy. It was a carefully reasoned decision to which you devoted much thought.
Keep saying that. You will feel better.
One can never have too many guns. Besides, given what the Government is doing to the value of the dollar, which is likely to hold its value? This wonderful US-made firearm, or those crappy dollars?

I bought mine from a fellow Calgunner...

Sorry about the quality of the photo - do no justice to the lovely finish of the Eclipse

Congrats on the deposit. Will you be hooked on the 1911 like so many of the rest of us have become? I fall in love with the platform all over again every time I take out a nice 1911.

A man can never have too many good books, too much red wine, too much ammunition, or too many 1911s :)

What is this layaway you speak of... I was always under the impression you had to buy a firearm 100% before dros. Turners does this.......:hide:

HKFOOY. I had the exact same model. Was the best most reliable Kimber I have owned. I have owned a Pro Carry II, cdp PRO both had issues especially the CDP. But the Eclipse was flawless. Looked the best too. Trigger was outstanding.

hows the trigger?

Without any mod: not as good as my TLE/RL II - but 100 times better than my Mil-Spec. :D

My Kimber Eclipse Pro II was my very first pistol. It has an awesome trigger and is my favorite pistol to shoot. Good choice on going with th Eclipse, the finish is just beautiful.
