I'm looking for to get a P220 Combat for Home Defense. I like DA/SA guns and already own a Beretta 92 FS Centurion and a P228. Is the extra 100 dollars for a Combat worth it or should I just get the standard P220R. I don't plan on doing any amphibious landings or beach recon but the combat model looks damn awesome.

I had one and I thought the extra money was worth it. Finding a holster for it was a pain because the rail on the combat is not the same as the regular one. Other than that, it was awesome. Had to sell it due to layoff though.

Yes, but it's nice to know that you could! :D I just love the look and finish of the combat. It's definitely my next pistol. Please post some pix when you get it.

Ken Lunde's pistol pic pages are a good source for such photos...

I got one a couple of months ago and was having the same debate on what model P220 to get. Went with the combat just to be different. I was already spending the money and what was another $100-$150. Would post the only picture I have, but the file is to big.

Get yourself an older german p220 until Sig can sort out its quality issues.

I love the idea of the 220 combat, feel good in the hand . . but. . just doesn't compare to the older 220s.

yzerine (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/member.php?u=10890) (FFL dealer in Hesperia) was selling a SIG P220 Combat for $950.
Contact him to see when he'll get another in stock.

I love sig ( obviously). However despise my 220 combat. It shoots for crap. Way way way off. Something in the trigger assay maybe. Search threads on here for 220 combat. There are at least 3 others with the same issu who have posted issues.

I can tack drive my 220 carry all day. Swap te the combat and it's over a foot low at 7yrds. Confirmed by 5 other shooters, a RO etc. No one can shoot this thing.
It needs to be sent to Gray guns for some love or something....

I have a 220 Combat and it is a great gun, shoots point of aim. If someone is having a problem with one I would contact Sig.

Regular old P220R with night sights would do everything at home the Combat would, and save you some dough for HD ammo.

Except look the part. Let's not forget that most of the time, the guy looking at your gun is either you or your buddy and the combat looks like it means business!

Get a P220 Combat and then a 1994/5 West German P220. Those will cover all the bases. :D

Safariland Tactical 6004 holster - works for both the P220 Combat & the ST.

I've had no problems w/ my P220 Combat (2000+ rounds). Accurate out of the box and no functional issues. However, the P220ST is actually my favorite/most accurate non-1911 .45 to shoot... followed by the P220 Combat.

i have a 1st gen 220 steel with the sig proprietary rail. other than not having light that will fit and nobody making an adapter anymore, its a great gun. seriously thinking about having the rail ground off by fords
