Probably the best choice for a wide variety of reasons.

It is the perfect size

It takes 15 round preban mags in 10MM

10MM rocks

It will shoot .40, .357SIG and 9X25 with just a a barrel swap
(same magazines)

Plenty of aftermarket goodies available for all Glocks.

Consider reloading if you run 10MM much. But plenty of hot defense rounds are available. Shoot .40 to save $.

G23. Just wondering, why not the G20 if you're looking for a 10mm? The extra barrel length makes a big difference in velocity in this caliber.

10 mm is a verastile hand cannon,

Any of the .40's would be fine. I'd go with the XDm 4.5.

If you can find the ammo;) or reload yourself.

XDM. I can't stand glock so that narrows it down by 50%. HK is great all around but the aftermarket and mags cost a ton so I typically stick to my XD. I have the original XD, but the XDm would be great if you can get your hands on one.
