View Full Version : SR9 Sight Question

Does anyone else have a hard time focusing on the front sight, when the rear sight is white also? When I was shooting yesterday, I found myself coming out of focus. So I'm going to try something new "to me". I blacked out the rear sights with a marker, leaving the front white. I can't afford a set of new sights at the moment, hopefully this will help some. Here is a sight picture, btw, it's hard to take this type of picture one handed with a phone lol.

plain black rear sight is very popular with many types of shooters, especially competition shooters.

I usually paint my front sight neon orange, and my rears neon green.

I think that's a good idea. I have a hard time with my RIA tactical having all black sights. I was just going to replace the front sight with a white dot. Next time you shoot let us know how it works.

That's good. I stopped looking at rear sights long ago. I only look at the front, rhe rest is muscle memory. Sometimes I don't even need the sights to aim, just know the area to point. You are definately on the right path. Less distractions the better.

I'm going to try that on my m&p. I'm going to use black tape or something in Case it doesn't work out for me.
