After finishing the 80%, what are some of my options regarding anodizing? I have looked into the do-it yourself kits floating around on the internet. I dont mind going this route, but arent the reciever hard anodized? Down the street from my work is an anodizing company, but would it be legal/smart to take my lowrer to them to have it anodized?
Thank You!

Please wait until after Jan 1, 2007 to complete your AR10-compatible lower beyond its "80%" status (or at least before milling out the mag opening).

When "it" take effect, does it apply to homebrews?

You want protection for your homebrews, and there is a slight/possible lack of clarity/coverage of Harrott on homebrews.

Buy a HAR25, it'll save you money in the long run.

+1, especially if you mess up the 80%.
