Just wanted to know what's the best handgun you've ever shot what was cheap. I'm not talking about a STI that was sold for 400 because the guy needed money, I'm talking about the brand new ones.

Mines would of been the buck mark ii in Rimfire, can't think of one in center fire..

$400 in todays money or $400 equivelent to when you bought it? Just saying, there are a lot of fine guns bought 20-30-50 years ago for under $100. Not fair to compair grandpa's Colt Python he paid $50 for vs a $375 plastic Ruger of today :)

EAA Witness CZ clone. In the early '90's, you could buy 'em new for right at $300. VERY accurate, and the 15 round mags actually held 17 rounds, and would seat with one in the pipe. :D

I bought a cz75b new in 2001 for $300. I also bought a HS2000(XD9) new around the same time for $269 plus shipping and transfer. I also picked up some FM hipowers and an Arcus hipower around 2000 that were about $200. Mark

Best gun was a Colt Trooper .357 a little less than a year ago. It was nuts accurate and never had a hiccup. Should have never let that thing go for less than 500.

Brand new straight from the factory sealed box price tag under 400.. I don't see how a sig pro, ria 1911 gi or cs model or ruger p series isn't the correct answer definitely the best guns for the budget minded shooters

I've shot them all and like them all ruger is probably my favorite brand next to beretta I love my 1911ria platform and owning a sig sauer is next on my list

In rimfire, a Browning Buckmark. In centerfire, the Makarov.

Not too long ago, however, CZ 75bs were going for just over $400. IIRC, I got my OD 75b Tactical w/ folding knife for $450 from Turners. Talk about bang for your buck!

SigPro2022 is the best all around gun I have had for under $400. I have shot some .22 that have a lighter trigger and are super accurate at handgun ranges, but I wouldn't call them the best.

A lot of new stock Glocks can be found for right around $400 with LE or GSSF pricing. I have seen LE trade in Glocks for a song. While a Glock will never have a jeweled 1911 trigger, you cant beat the value for the money.

East German Makarov. Then the SIG P6 the p6 da trigger is was too heavy originally otherwise it would be first.

My first pistol - an FM Hi-Power 9mm. Bought new in 1994 for $239. I've since tried other FN Hi-Powers and while mine isn't the prettiest, it shoots as well as any stock Hi-Power I've tried. Which is to say, great!

Just picked up a Sig Sp2022 in .40 last month, but it was $420, so just over the max. It's a lot of fun to shoot, too, and I think it was a bargain!
