I have an old sears and robuck 22 semi that I am fixing up for a kid. But the trigger sucks. And a trigger job would cost more then the gun is worth. I have not put a scale on it but I would bet it is about 10 pounds. Any suggetions.

Honestly if I had an old Sears & Roebuck I would just leave it as is.

Post a pic or give a model number, preferably both.

it is mod 3t with a plastic take down pin for the trigger group. After cleaning it I would bet that the trigger group had never been pulled. The bolt had about an eight of an inch of slime on it. Cleaning helped the action but the trigger still sucks. this trigger is so stiff that it will give you a blister.

The rifle is made by Winchester and is a variation of the Model 190. Take an old toothbrush to the trigger assembly, make sure the safety moves completely left and right. Add some oil to the hammer and trigger pivots. The trigger pull is usually long but should not be hard.
