I have a question since i live in WV and what I've tried to find online is not conclusive enough for me.
If the series 80 1911 already has the block why won't they let them in?

I'm assuming you are asking why the Colt Series 80 1911 is not on the CA DOJ approved list.

It's because, from 2001-2005, Colt did not submit it to to get it placed on the approved list.

So, if Colt wants to get it on the approved list now (post-2007), the handgun will need both a CA DOJ BOF chamber load indicator and a magazine disconnect.

On the other hand, if you are thinking about visiting California, you may certainly bring your Colt 1911 with you. (You wouldn't be able to carry it, unless LEO - CA does not have non-resident CCW, and does not honor any other state's CCW.)

The Roster is not a limit on ownership or possession, but a restriction on what dealers may sell.
