View Full Version : Cleaning my Glock 37

So how far do I want to get into disassembling my Glock 37? The manual suggests going as far as removing the slide, cleaning out the barrel, cleaning and oiling the various points, and you're done. How important is it for me to actually strip the entire slide and clean the individual internal parts? Aside from the recommendations from Glock, is it necessary to go further?

When I had my G37 I never went much further than what you just described. I'm sure to clean just in front of the locking block on the frame and any other hard to reach areas with Q-tips.

I guess it would depend on how many rounds you shoot. I would say after 2000 rounds.
What you are doing is all the cleaning that needs to be done and it is not neccessary to go any further.
After you hit the 5000+ round mark, have a Glock certified armorer check it out.
If you participate at GSSF match, there usually a Glock certified armorer there that will check out & replace parts for free.
