Hello calgunners.. I just bought a springer 1911 in 9mm and I'm doing my typical thing where I order a buttload of aftermarket parts while I wait for my 10 days... I'm wondering if all 1911 parts will fit this and what the actual differences are between this and a 45acp (other than barrel and recoil spring)

Figure I can't be the only one who has done this ... any recommendations?

The slide is different, the extractor and ejector are different from the .45 1911.

Most 1911 parts are interchangeable. IMO. They all have worked for me with fitting. And I have a custom .45 1911 and I converted my .38 to 9mm. Most parts where drop in or file fitted.

What parts are you referring to specifically??

I changed out the magazine release and slide release without any issue.. The MSH also swapped out with a Kimber one.. Grips were interchangeable.. I cant remember what else I did as the gun belonged to a friend of mine.. All the mods were done without having to file or alter the gun.. They just dropped right in..

What he said. The only stock parts left on my Springer 1911 9mm are the slide, barrel, FLGR, frame, bushings, firing pin, firing pin block, plunger, and the slide stop.
