it depends on how you configure it

you never "need" a "bullet button" in some cases you need a fixed magazine

so a little spacer and a nut will work as well

thank you for the chart i looked at it before and it doesn't answer the question about the bullet button and also what really changed with the law in 2008 i have never really looked into it i just no the ar was the first gun i ever bought and the reason i went with the ar is my friend had one and i liked it and he told me to hurry up and buy one because the law was going to change

The only AR's that can have detachable mags and other features are pre-AWB guns that are registered assault weapons. All AR's since the sunset of the AWB had to have BB's or be featureless, if you have a detachable mag and a pistol grip amongst other features you are in possesion of what California defines as an assault weapon.

You missed the RAW paperwork by like 8 years.

You should buy a lottery ticket, since you have been lucky thus far.

i have had a bullet button on it ever since i bought it i was just wondering if i was exempt from that law because i got it in 2008. also can i sell it and get it out of my name or because i got it in 2008 will it always be in my name because of the paperwork change?
