My brother's and I are looking to split an order of .22 LR and was wondering if anyone had one of those deals going for 5000 rds for about $150? I remember seeing one not long ago but forget where it was.

Thanks!

the cci blazer though is 159 + 19 shipping i dont know if thats a deal.
but its cheaper then buying it in stores + tax for single boxes.

If you live in Sac Sportsmens Warehouse has 22LR for 16.95 525 bricks.. LOCAL! Thats better then a lot of online prices.

Bass Pro has the 525 rd box of Remington Golden Bullets on sale for $14.97. I don't like them but one of my brother's does. I was trying to steer him to a better round but they'll have to be about the same price for him to make the move.

I'm down in SoCal, but thanks for the heads up.

I've shopped around, and this is the best deal to be had anywhere (short of secret deals or special coupons).

I ordered a case last week. Anyone in the Sac/Davis area want to split it?

I have come to the same conclusion ... The shopdunns blazer deal is the cheapest to be had, especially when you consider there is no sales tax nor gas costs to drive to the store.

As for the ammo itself...its not the best but its not the worst either. One bonus is that they are nicely packaged in little trays rather than just a box of loose bullets. I think this preserves them a little better as well as makes counting out ten rounds for a magazine easier.

I'd go for the Dunn's deal but my brother wants copper. Oh well, I think I'll let him buy his Golden Bullets and keep an eye out for the next great deal.

CCI minimags and blazers are different

the blazers are 40 grain lead nosed 1235 ft p/s muzzle velocity

Blazers (part 0021) are CCI's cheapest .22LR ammo. They are waxed lead and tend to be a little inconsistent. Ive shot some great groups and some horrid groups...just luck of the draw really. They come in bricks of 500 packaged in trays or loose packed in quantities of 525.

CCI Minimags come in 36grain hollowpoints (part 0031) or 40grain rounded (part 0030) and are copper plated and waxed. They come in nice clear plastic trays in quantities of 100. My CZ 452 rather likes them and Ive been looking for a cheap place to order from but havent found anything super cheap so far. $8.99/100 at my local store, can get them around $6/100 online but shipping is often prohibitive.

Walmart has Federal Lightning in 50 round boxes for $1.47. That's $14.70 for 500; $15.44 for 525 or $16.17 for 550.

I went to a local WM and seen today that they had maroon box Lightning 40 grn solids #550 instead of the blue box Champion 40 grn solids #510. On the box of the Lightnings it states muzzle velocity as 1,240 fps but I can't find anything for the muzzle velocity on any of the Champion boxes I have (50, brick or cardboard case)...anybody know if it's the same MV as the Champion? I understand that the Champion was just a reboxed Lightning ammo but don't know if it's back to being the same or what. The Lightning is the same price as the Champion was and other than the color of the box, and the font size of some of the letters, it's the same in appearance.

Check Federal's website, they have all the ballastics info on all their rimfire ammo.

Dunns had a case of Federal Champion 525 Boxes for $159 that I bought earlier this week. Ended up being $16 per box of 525.

This place seems to have a pretty good price for cci minimags

Thanks for the tip...just ordered 20 boxes as well as a bunch of other ammo...will see how long it takes...im not in a rush, so no worries if they are a bit slow. $5.75/box with reasonable shipping ($12.99 for $300 of ammo) and no sales tax is a good deal imo.
