This weekend I'm converting an AR to no evil features, and need to eventually screw something down over the threads.

I have been *told* the threads on the 9mm brakes are different from the .223 to keep people from mixing brakes/hiders. So, no thread protector I've seen will work either.

for the majority (if not all) of 9mm ARs, its 1/2x36. the standard AR thread is 1/2x28. im currently trying to find FHs in 1/2x36 for my 9. maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

Which I believe is the same as .308, but it doesn't really help does it?

i think that .308 AR barrels are 9/16x24? yeah, we're not really getting anywhere here.:D if youre looking for a muzzle brake for either a 9mm AR or standard AR, RRA makes 'em.

If that is in fact correct - 308 threading same as 9mm brake threading - you could get a 308 brake and carefully drill a big hole somewhat > 9mm in it.

Check with J&T Distributing if they have Colt 9mm flash hiders, I think they might - I got my 9mm AR conversion there in 1998.

I am a little confused. If you need a 9mm muzzle brake for a featureless 9mm build (http://www.tenpercentfirearms.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=183), I have them. See the link.

If you are just wanting any kind of muzzle brake for your .223 and want to know if a 9mm muzzle brake will work, I can check on that for you later when I get into the shop.

The only thing I would caution is isn't part of a flash hider having the open end? Would using a 9mm brake on a .223 be kind of risky? That is why I think you don't want to do that, you just want a 9mm brake.

I want what you linked.

Will go order one up. Should've just asked for one when I made my last order with you. Duh...

Thanks Wes. :)
