My journey begins.

The upper I purchased from a fellow forum member. It is a Bushmaster M-4 upper with Free Floating 4 Rail system, ARMS #40 BUIS. I just need to wait till 10% ships me my parts kit so I can get started :) Ammobros were out and i am not a man that has much tolerance for waiting. I also need to wait for my muzzle brake from Midway.

BTW Anything else I may need for my build? I have a buttstock as well.

You wrote that you have a buttstock, but you also need a receiver extension (buffer tube) and buffer and buffer spring.

Sorry, it is a complete buttstock.

What about an ambi safety selector? I understand it gives you a nice thumb rest for use with the MonsterMan. I ordered 2 myself for my first builds I will be starting this weekend. My plan is two build 2 lowers, one fixed and one non-fixed and to swap out the one upper I purchased. At least that is my initial plan - I'm sure it will morph into two complete rifles before too long.

I was thinking that very thing.

If you have a flash hider on your upper, you might want to replace it with a muzzle brake.

ETA: shoot, i didn't read under your pics. sorry.

I need to buy a longer magazine. Like a 10/30 or something. The 10 looks weird. I sits to far up in the lower.

30's suck for bench shooting and prone, go with the 20 size, they look fine

I need to go back to Ammo Bros to pick up a 10/20 mag. I decided to pin the mag for now. I will probably keep it pinned and buy a new upper and keep this one to go on my CMMG lower for a grippless build.. Building the lower was surprisingly easy. That damn front detent was a pain in the #$%.

All I need now is to find a sight I like.

What made you decide to go with the pistol grip... seeing as you had the monsterman grip and solid stock handy already?

I am doing both. I will be picking up a CMMG soon and replacing this stock with something else. I need to take a trip back over to Ammo Bros tomorrow or next week sometime to pick out another stock. I may just wait till It is time to pick up my lower.
