I have a BSA Sweet 22 3-9X40

This thing is sweet!

Clear glass, holds zero, and works like it is meant to.

Make sure you don't get one of the old ones because they aren't made as well as the newer (post 2009) ones are.

Here is the link where I got mine from http://www.amazon.com/BSA-3-9X40-Parallax-Adjustment-Multi-Grain/dp/B002AK7KMO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1302938412&sr=8-2

Tip: If you want to shoot past 175 yards (which is where the numbers run out) you just twist the turret around again and add so if you want to shoot 200 yds put turret on 100 then go around again and stop at 100. So 100+100=200. Following?

I have this scope on my Savage mk II BRJ and have shot over 300 yds :)

the new sweet 22s with side parallax is great quality but personally

i believe http://www.amazon.com/Mueller-APV-4-5-14x40-AOScope/dp/B000SULCTA
is slightly better

i would rate the bsa sweet 22 a solid 7. it should hold zero with rimfire cartridges
but there are reports of creep or change in zero

i rate the apv a solid 8 i like the higher magnification and i think its exceptional glass for the price

i have an older bsa sweet 22 which failed horribly,

the new BSA which has been serving me for a good year now (works fine)
and
a the APV which i've been rocking for the past 2-3 years.

the new sweet 22 bsa is nice though because it has side parallax adjustment.

can't go wrong if you decide to go with it.

/cheers

Mine was cheap but I didnt like it very much. Its kinda dark, blurry, and didnt hold zero for me. I took it off in favor of a real scope, a Nikon Prostaff.

i have one on my 10/22 and its is definitely "sweet" check out sportsmansguide.com i scored mine for 44 bucks. The purest may not like the cheapness, but on a .22, who;s shooting further then 100 yrds?? definitley worth a try

I put a 3-9 Sweet 22 on my Henry pump (the older round barrel version)...I like it so far. I will make final judgement next weekend out in the desert near China Lake NAWS. I have it fairly well sighted in at my local indoor range Iron Sights (25 yds)
I bought a higher power BSA scope for my Mossberg 44 mounted on the Havlin scope mount. I have not yet sighted that in yet.

I have one on my Henry lever rifle. Works fine for the price. I haven't shot it past 100yds, but clarity is okay (not great) at that distance with higher magnifications. However, with my older RK corrected eyes, clarity with any scope has never been great. It's definitely better than some of the cheap chinese scopes I've tried (FM, NCStar, BEC, etc.).
