Has anyone bought one recently?
If you dont mind posting or PM'ng the cost.

Saw a new scout /mossy oak at a local shop and was interested in what others had picked them up for. Shop wanted 1700 and change.

Buds has a walnut stock for $1500.
Mossy Oak is out of stock

BTW...I am in Norcal if that makes much of a difference Northern/Southern California.

Thanks!

I was at Tabors last weekend and he had a few. I noticed the Scout because I have one, didn't really notice the price. I paid about $1,500.00 for mine at SJGE a few years back.

1500 is still a pretty good price though

I had a Socom16 that I sold after Obama got elected. IIRC, it ran me $1350 out the door in 2007 dollars. A good deal on a Scout in todays market is probably $1400-1500 used (a couple more new eg. $1550).

if you wait on the firearms for sale section m1a scouts can be had for around 1500, same goes for the loaded model. the socoms i see are falling within the 1400 range now.

It's an M1A, not a M14.
