So Ive got an M16a1 kit that my old man got me for my birthday last year, and come to find during a recent move that I have better than a dozen old army issued 30 rounders from way back sitting in storage.

Originally i just figured that well, I cant really tell the old man thanks but no thanks, 16's are just kinda icky, so Ill build it to be a Vietnam era a1 clone to have as a historical piece, kinda cool that way. Now I find all these mags and I'd really be silly not to have a rifle that uses them.

So who's got some ideas on building a featureless a1 type rifle? Stuff like birdcage shaped muzzle brakes that mimic the a1 flash hider, MM grip or wrap, etc etc. If youve got pics Id love to see em!

Try and find yourself one of these and add a grip wrap....... DONE!

Not sure about an A1. Might have to have it made or modified.

That would be the perfect match, but if you cant come across one of those...this is very close and available.
