I missed it, what was the model number of the plastic gun that would pass through airport metal detectors and the brady bunch got it to be "banned"?

Looks like they did a good job providing an overview of their oppression of civil rights.

Edit: Seriously though, I think it was when the Glock 17 got released...could be wrong though.

I don't think there are any if I recall correctly they were trying to ban glocks and polymer sure to their lack of metal, which is ignorant.

Maybe they saw the x man movie where they were using plastic guns to fight magneto and thought they were a real threat.

They did get a ban though on handguns with less than a certain amount of metal, but I don't think it applied to any gun made.

Duh! Everyone knows the Glock 7 was the ceramic gun that can't be detected by metal detectors.

When they were talking about cop killer bullets they showed a rifle round. Idiots....

It's amazing the actions of one man (John Hinckley) could trigger all that.

You heard Brady himself say it.

The Brady bill was THE END to unchecked madness.

So why are they still around? We fixed the problem back then.

No, they showed a shared rifle/pistol round called the 5.7x28 for the FN FiveSeven pistol and P90 rifle.

Funny thing is, that round didn't exist when the "armor piercing handgun bullet" ban went into place, and that ban does not actually ban the 5.7x28 round, unless you have that round and the handgun that fires it.

I heard it's not on the roster because it kept shattering on the drop test.

I wonder if duracoat could solve this.... just think duracoat a ceramic gun, stops it from shattering, and you could camo it.... Invisible AND undetectable.

Antis would never know what hit them?

Yeah, I agree with you. I actually sat through the whole, stupid thing. If they would just get their "facts" straight and stop with the misleading & ridiculous terminology, I could almost get through it without gritting my teeth. In the end, though, we are always going to have this extreme ignorance when it comes to an organization like the Brady Bunch that seems to lack common sense AND the ability to do some real research and educate themselves thoroughly before becoming "official" representatives for such a cause. To be credible in anything like this, you have to learn ALL aspects of the subject you are dealing with in total dedication to getting all your information correct and without bias. But, alas, there will always be clownshoe people like this that have a loyal (albeit blind & ignorant) following. I guess we should be, at the very least, thankful that the Bradys (and their counterparts) don't go to the hypocritical extremes that groups like pro-life and PETA go to (i.e. murder) to "get their point across." However, the anti-2ndA people are hypocrites through-and-through. Try taking away the firearms from the bodyguards of the upper-echelon of these groups & politicians that are in their corner (i.e. Feinstein) and see what they have to say then. They can't answer to that type of logic, because it is logic that they lack in mass amounts in the first place.;)

I wouldn't blame John Hinckley.

I fault the Bradys and Paul Helmke Snake Oil Con. --- they wouldn't be doing it if they didn't get a Fat Paycheck and 15 minutes of Fame.

Its all about Greed, Pride and Gluttony.

Considering how long after the P90 and the round was developed before the FiveseveN came out, I'm good with calling it a rifle round. ;)

Now if only I could get Cabela's to stop putting it in the handgun section. (Especially when they had that pesky 2 box limit in store.)
